The BiG Challenge is an enterprise competition open to all Secondary Schools and Colleges in Sheffield. Each team has the opportunity to design and grow a business from a £25 start up grant over two school terms.
We have given Year 9 students the opportunity to participate. From an initial cohort of six groups, we have identified a lead team to represent the school in the regional competition stages. Their company is called Silver Box. www.silverbox2016.weebly.com
Laura Jackson, owner of Laura’s Fudge, has been building her successful company since June 2012.
She is working with the school to provide workshops and enrichment events, focusing on developing students’ understanding of the challenges and rewards involved with running your own business.
